It was the worse movie ever. The language and explicit content were unbearable. I do not know how people can say they enjoyed this movie. It was stereotypical. Why do we have to make movies that show African Americans in such a bad light? Aren't there any positive roles in Hollywood anymore? I have told me family and friends not to attend this movie. No one should have to sit through the vulgarity and profanity.

Very gritty but heartfelt. At first it is hard to watch because of the cruelty and helplessness portrayed but it touches your heart and Precious makes you root for her and believe in her and love her. You will laugh , you will cry . At times you will turn away in disgust. But you will never forget.
